Latecomers!, 2023

Game exhibition, inspired by confessionals and the shame of being late to events. Part of a course at TeaK.

  1. Exhibited within a university context and aimed at that target audience.
  2. The game asks the player a series of questions, each obliquely related to being late.
  3. Freeform answers are given via keyboard.
  4. Whatever you type, you get a random answer back. (from ~100 pre-written lines)
  5. Secretly, the answers are recorded in a .txt file for my personal use. Nobody is told.
  6. After answering each question, the game ends.

Looking back, I find the writing unbearably cringy. O youth. Nevertheless, this was my first major experience with making making "artsy" games, and, as such, a milestone.

I'm also quite proud of the music I made for this game: everything was composed in a panicky rush the night before the exhibition. I feel like that added a nice sense of anxiety to the audio. (star of the show: H3000 Factory plugin. highly recommend)
